Wellbeing Services

South Manchester Healthy Living Network
The network works with local people, community organisations and the health service to encourage healthier lifestyles in South Manchester. Volunteers for the service put on events and provide advice for residents of all age in the area to create awareness around subjects such as obesity, mental health and smoking.

Public Health Development Service (PHDS)
Manchester Public Health and Development Service (MPHDS) promotes the health and well being of all people who live and work in the city. The teams include: Public Mental Health, Stop Smoking and Health Trainers.

Physical Activity Referral Scheme
The scheme helps people with long term health conditions to increase their levels of physical activity in a safe and structured environment. A wide variety of exercise sessions are available throughout Manchester in local leisure and community centres.

The Chronic Fatigue Programme
The Chronic Fatigue Programme is a community service for adults living in Manchester who have a chronic/long term health conditions where chronic fatigue and/or chronic pain are the primary problems.

Oral Health
The purpose of the Oral Health service is to improve oral health by working with individuals, partners and communities to deliver programmes that meet local needs and have a positive impact.
