Membership of group Fifteen is up to 18 months. The group
will be unable to grant any extensions of this time under any
circumstances.
The programme works to strict time boundaries, for example,
starting promptly at 10am. Therefore it is expected that group
members attend punctually. There is a consequence to lateness in
that if anyone arrives for a group and is more than 10 minutes late
they are considered to have missed that group and will be asked to
account for the lateness. Members need to contact Gaskell House
early in the morning before 9:30am to let the group know if they
cannot attend on any particular day via Tel 0161 277 1120 or
the "Fifteen Phone", the number for this will be given on your
first day as a group member.
It's important to state that while one of the main principles of
Fifteen is democracy and that each member has a vote and a say
there are certain things that group members won't be able to vote
on. These will be things regarding the safety and structure
of the group and requirements placed on staff by NHS policy &
procedures. Discussion surrounding all matters regarding the
group will always be encouraged but it will be clear when staff
have to make a final decision.
