Personality Disorder Link Worker Network
The Personality Disorder Strategy is developing a network of
people with an interest in personality disorder and these will be
referred to as "link workers". The roles of link workers are as
follows:
- to act as champions of good practice in working with
personality disorder in their team/clinical area
- to facilitate communication between their team/area and the
Personality Disorder Hub in terms of training, supervision,
consultation and therapy needs.
- to attend future trust training events in order to continually
develop their knowledge and skills in personality disorder
If you are interested in becoming involved please
discuss with your line manager in the first instance and then
contact Dr. Steve Eccles, Clinical Psychologist, Tel: 0161 277 1140
or by e-mail: steve.eccles@mhsc.nhs.uk.
Consultation
One of the key elements of the Personality Disorder Strategy is
to improve access by the various clinical teams/areas to
consultation from clinicians with a special interest and experience
in working with personality disorder.
A consultation is a meeting of those individuals involved in
delivering care to discuss and think about a service users' needs
to develop a more informed understanding to improve care planning,
risk management and positive strategies.
If you work for one of the Trust's teams and are looking after
service users with a diagnosis of personality disorder, you can
access consultation by contacting the following:
