Support Workers help service users in their day to day lives by
offering:
- Support with budgeting skills such as claiming benefits,
dealing with debts and setting up payment schemes for
utilities.
- Support in developing domestic routines.
- Advice about home safety and security.
- Liaison with other agencies such as the Department for Work and
Pensions (DWP), GP's and utility companies.
- Support in maintaining and establishing social networks.
- Advice about personal care routines.
- Help with activities such as meal planning and preparation and
shopping.
- Advice and support about daytime activity and access to day
centres, training and employment.
