At the Trust we recognise
the invaluable contribution carers make to the health economy. We
are also aware that carers need support from services and we are
committed to providing that support. Caring for someone can be
rewarding but also challenging and that is why we want to ensure
that we engage with carers and give them all the help we can.
This section of our website contains information and guidance
for carers including details of Carers' Needs Assessments and how to
access a Carers' Individual Budget.
We launched our first ever Carers' Strategy on
8th October 2010. The strategy, developed in partnership with
Manchester Carers' Forum and with full input from service users and
carers, was unveiled at the Trust's annual Service User and Carer
Effectiveness Day at Longford Park Stadium in Chorlton Cum
Hardy.
