The Employee of the Month scheme was designed to reward those
staff who have made a substantial contribution to the quality of
care provided to service users or have delivered exceptional levels
of work performance and exemplified the core values of the
Trust.
All employees, with the exception of Directors and Non-Executive
Directors, are eligible for selection and recognition as the
Employee of the Month.
An employee is only eligible for one monthly award in any
calendar year. In order to avoid 'flooding' of nominations, if an
individual receives two or more nominations for the same
reason/piece of work this will not necessarily add further weight
to the nomination. However if an individual is nominated by more
than one person for different reasons or pieces of work then these
will be considered alongside each other rather than as two separate
nominations.
Employees with live warnings on their record or who are
currently subject to a formal procedure that may result in a
warning will not be eligible to receive an Employee of the Month
award.
The closing date for nominations for the preceding month's award
is the 4th Monday of every month.
Nominations received after that date will be considered during
the following month's adjudication process. The winning employee
will be determined by a selection committee who will meet on the
last Thursday of the month to judge the nominations and make an
award. Membership of the committee comprises a selection of Trust
employees and members of the Executive Team.
Each Employee of the Month will receive:
- High Street vouchers to the value of £50
- A signed certificate citing their name, designation and the
month and year in which they received the award, presented to them
by a member of the Executive Team
- A letter from the Chief Executive
- Eligibility for the Chair's Award at the Annual Star Awards
award
Their photo and an article will also appear on the Trust website
and in the Staff News
All nominees will receive a letter from the Chief Executive
congratulating them on receiving a nomination.
